Fr Roger is arranging a sponsored walk from Higham to Naseby from 25-29 May in memory of Ann & in aid of the MND charity. It is linked with the Archbishops' "Thy Kingdom Come" prayer initiative & is open to all, including any who would like 'to saunter' down Kings Meadow Lane after Mass at 9.30 am (note the time for that day) on Ascension Day, or on to Irthlingborough (coffee will be available in the Albert Underwood Room at the church). There is a sponsor sheet on the table in church; he is most grateful to those who have already contributed.

MOTHERS’ UNION are meeting on Thursday 1st June at 2 pm in the Bede House when Jane Smeathers will be telling us about her visit to South Africa in 2014. As always visitors are welcome.

We are hosting the Coffee Morning for the Farmers’ Market on 24th June and would appreciate items for the tombola stall – box at the back of church.

DONATIONS PLEASE: Refreshments will be available in the Bede House for the “Open Gardens” event on 18th June, and donations of cakes would be appreciated. Please put your name down on the list at the back of the church.

VOLUNTEER STEWARDS: Unfortunately there has been little or no interest from people offering to steward the Church so that it can be open for visitors, and therefore we regret that the Church will have to remain locked. Visitors can contact either of the Church Wardens should they need access. Our thanks go to the four people who offered help.

CHELVESTON COMMUNITY PRAYERS: Brenda Elldred & Sara Owst will be meeting in St. John’s Chelveston on Monday 5th June at 2.15 pm & welcome anyone who would like to join them to share in some quiet time & prayers for the community. This is very informal & will last no longer than an hour including discussion & fellowship. Please feel free to join us & let us know of any concerns that we can pray for. For more information contact Brenda on 07816771702. We hope to make this a regular prayer time.
